General Philosophy by Peter Millican

A nice introduction into philosophy as a podcast:

A series of lectures delivered by Peter Millican to first-year philosophy students at the University of Oxford. The lectures comprise the 8-week General Philosophy course and were delivered in late 2009.

The Web-site of the author:

In the course mostly British philosophy (Locke – Berkeley – Hume) is considered. Yet, the course is well done, it is short and concise. I would like to mention especially the quality of the audio, it is at the level of a good audio-book.

A small comment. The author means that Newton have introduced gravitation forces at the level of operationlism. To my knowledge however, Newton wanted this way to prove the existence of God and it is hardly possible to consider him as an operationalist. See Newton’s Principia and Existence of God.
